Freelance Writing Jobs: the September round-up
All the upcoming deadlines you need to know about.
Hello! How are you doing today? After six weeks of hard work, I’m celebrating tipping over the 100,000 word mark on my historical novel. Almost five years after starting, I’m still in love with this story – even after three false starts, a change in main character and an overhaul of my entire timeline. I’m so excited for the final push to the end. After a rest, and perhaps some roast potatoes.
Today I’m sharing nearly forty funding opportunities with you, including a grant that I was lucky enough to be awarded last year. Take this as a nudge to apply for the opportunities that chime with you, even if they feel out of reach. Be the best advocate for your work. Shoot your shot! Marvellous things happen through courage.
"A career-changing book... if you're thinking about going freelance, read this first," says GQ’s Oliver Franklin-Wallis.
My book The Pyjama Myth: the Freelance Writer's Survival Guide will make you a better, happier freelancer and you can order your copy from Bookshop.
