Hello! How are you doing today? The monthly round-up is my favourite issue to send – I hit that button as I’m leaving for the gym, then head to a cafe with my notebook. Like many of you reading on Sunday, I’m settling in for a morning of writing. Sometimes I write my novel, other days it’s poetry (it depends on how noisy my cafe of choice is), but I’m often working on submissions. There are over thirty brilliant opportunities in this issue, from residencies to nature writing prizes, all with upcoming deadlines. Whatever you’re writing today, I hope you have pastries and good coffee close to hand.
"A career-changing book... if you're thinking about going freelance, read this first," says GQ’s Oliver Franklin-Wallis.
